The Aprilia Scarabeo 500 has arrived. Yes, it was once a regular face on the Australian scooter scene, but after a short break, its now back. 

Raring and ready to tackle any task the Scarabeo 500 is a lightweight maxi that makes the most of its size and power.

Weighing in at just 189 kg the Scarabeo could lay claim to being the lightest maxi scooter in its class. Combine this with a motor outputting 29 kw and you have a certain recipe for fun and adventure. This latest Scarabeo is now powered by Piaggio's latest generation 492 cc MASTER engine.

The Scarabeo 500 has always been the best of both worlds, small enough to be a city commuter, large and powerful enough to be a freeway cruiser.

The Scarabeo 500 has all the features you've come to expect from an Italian built premium scooter. Apart from engine capacity, not much has changed from our previous experience with the Scarabeo, although the feature list is still impressive :

The biggest change on return to the Scarabeo 500 has to be its introductory price. You need to remember that the Scarabeo is an Italian built Maxi with all the trimmings. So being introduced at the new low price of just $8990 + ORC is quite astonishing.

Colours are limited to just silver and black. Stocks are also limited with the first shipment selling out immediately. When something is this good, at that price, its no surprise!
