Your Motobatt is a Factory Activated battery, charged and ready to use straight out of the box. This means it is conditioned for optimum performance before it leaves the factory. It is a sealed unit so you do not have to mess with acid or top up.
Each plate in the battery is wrapped in a glass wool matting which keeps the plates separated in a cushioned environment. This stops the plates vibrating and causing faults between the plates. Sulphated lead particles are also unable to float around in the batt ery and cause shorting between plates as the acid soluti on is absorbed into the glass matt .
Due to these and other advantages on the design, Mottobatt batterieshave a much lower discharge rate than your typical wet flooded types. Theability for the battery to discharge down to 30% of its capacity and then recover repeatedly under a standard alternator charge is far superior. This cycle can be done many ti mes. This makes Mottobatt a perfect fit for scooter riders, especially those doing short trips.
Motobatt’s must be charged by a charger that states it is designed for AGM batteries.
That is it has to be “step charged” at a slow rate and brought back to full power gradually. Most late model quality chargers are capable of this. Check your manual for details.
